I just came across an m52 for a good price with the plans to 24v my e30. My question is am I able to use the current obd2 head on it? A friend of mine said i can eaither get an obd1 head and use that, or he said i would have to have the obd2 head have a second hole drilled for the second temp sensor that obd1 uses. The question that i have is if that is true? Everywhere i read on r3v and bimmerforums no one said anything about the temp sensor, so if anyone has the answer i would love it thank you.

And also not all OBD2 heads DONT have the port. The motors that came from 96/early 97 cars still had port just blocked off.

So you were willing to buy an m50 head and swap it instead of having an OBD2 DME flashed? For the sake of simplicity? For all things 24v, check out Markert Motorworks!Originally posted by mbonanniI hate modded emtree, I hate modded cawrz, I hate jdm, I hate swag, I hate stanceyolokids, I hate bags (on cars), I hate stuff that is slowz, I hate tires.
