    Clearing DME

Going to the BAR ref tomorrow morning. Theres no CEL but when I do the stomp test the code for IAT shows. I already replaced that but need help resetting the dme so i can clear the stored code. Read somewhere I can unplug the battery for 20mins and that should clear it but idk if thats a good ideal to have the car enter limp mode before smogging it or does that not matter?

Any other methods of resetting the dme?

OBD1? Just borrow or buy a Peake scan tool.
For all things 24v, check out Markert Motorworks!

OBD1 doesn't have a permanent memory. just disconnect the battery.

I don't know if OBD1 has a mileage requirement either. I think it's either it shows a code or it doesn't.

I just disconnected the battery for a min. Restarted the car, did the stomp test no codes.

Thanks guys. Also, I passed the BAR test. Now on my way to the DMV to get my tags. Woo!
