How much would you value this S52+trans

Ive read all the stickies, and I don't think im violating any rules...hopefully.

So I found a S52 engine with a 5mt transmission for sale. It has 8-90k miles, all the components (eg. ac compressor), intake manifold and wiring harness. It looks ok from the pictures, no known issues, and removed from a non-wrecked car. It does not include EWS or key.

How much would you value this set?

I bought one from the east coast for $2300 with 100K on it. It came with all accessories on the engine, full exhaust, manual gearbox, DME with EWS, a key and shark. The only drawback was that it was rusted as hell. I had to replace the starter, alternator and A/C clutch because they were seized. I cleaned everything and repainted the block and it runs like a champ. The flywheel was trash as well but I was gonna go for LTW anyways so I didn't care. No clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing or slave was included.
Oh! And it came with no paperwork.

I paid $2300 for a complete 79k s50, trans, DME, chasis harness with all modules+engine harness, and DS.

But I drove three hours each way and the guys were pretty shady.

Can you do a compression check? Pull the valve cover?

Talk him down a but and you have a good deal.
