problem with e30 s50 supercharged tune and ews

Hi, I have a problem with my e30 318is with an s50b30us swap, the m3 I bought came with a 413 silver label, so I used an ews delete chip and the car ran great, then a friend sold me an ERT Powerdyne bd11 supercharger kit (24lb/hr, 3.5" euro maf) and gave me, his tuned chip, however it doesn't have ews delete, so my car won't start..

I would like to get it tuned, however I don't live in the states, so I'm looking for a way to get the car running, mail order chip? the only problem is my car won't start with this chip, what would you guys do? is there a way I can use the silver label with the supercharged tune and ews chip?

here are some pics of my car, getting there...

    Thanks

maybe the chip will work in a red labe 413l(non EWS) DME? i never could get a clear answer as to whether or not 413red/413silver were different in any way besides having EWS.

You could always order an off the shelf tune for supercharger with EWS delete built in, im sure TRM could hook you up.

I haven't tried that, there's not a clear answer on that, my friend has a 413 i could try, I think that for the price of a TRM tuned chip ($650+/-) I could get a miller w.a.r. chip ($395 right now), and if it doesn't work, I could even get a 413 red label for it, but I would like to make things easier with this car, just bolt the supercharger and go...

does miller offer a base map for supercharger on s50? if so thats the way to go. mite as well get the red413 and get the miller chip for that ECU, that way you can eliminate EWS from your equation.

I'm just waiting for Brody to answer my email about that, I also talked to midnight tuning solutions, he would send me a supercharged tuned chip with ews delete for $2xx, doesn't sound bad, but I don't know too much about them...

I just bought the same supercharger set-up for my M52'd e30,I won't be getting around to the install until the winter.Looks like we'll both have to mod the upper outlet on the rad.
I'd like to see the final assembly pics for just how much room the piping will take up in the front corner,I have the late model coolant tank and abs stuff right there so I hope it all fits.
Good luck with finding a solution to get it running,I too have the chip included but no idea if I'll have the same problem.

Nice! I have an e36 radiator, so I did have to mod the oultet

supercharger hit the abs pump, i will just relocate it about 1" to the drivers side by making a custom bracket out of the stock one, I just haven't finished that part yet... everthing else fits fine :D

Awesome, thanks for the pics as I had visions of relocating the coolant tank and possibly deleting abs.I just installed the same rad last week after the oem unit failed,I'll be doing the same upper outlet mods, fitting the 3.5" MAF and a filter is going to be tricky.
If you want to pm with details as you get it together that would be great, mine is set-up and tuned for 9lbs-what are you running?.

This kit was making 6psi on the e36 m3, which superchared does your kit has? This came with 24lb/hr injectors...

Just curious. Why are you using a 3.5" MAF?
Never on any setup seen any gain in power or flow. You still have m50 manifold and 3" throttle body.

                          On an NA car..?

A 3.5" MAF will make more power when you are flowing so much air that a 3" MAF cant meter it all.

damn, there is the MAF and filter gonna go? maybe make a hole behind the high beam and run it down behind the fog light?

If like any ews2 delete for 95 m50, you'll have to cut a wire coming from the DME if you run a red 413 chip on a silver 413. I believe its a solid green one. You can always Google ews2 delete and their should be plenty of Info's on it.
