how do i connect the purge valve correctly? do i need the canister? if i do where can i buy the canister? the car is boosted, its 87 e30 m50b25 swap. any pics or diagrams would be helpful. thanks

I wouldn't run a charcoal cannister if you are boosted. I'd just cap the port off and filter the tank end of the line -
I don't think anybody cares tbh. If you boosted an m50 in an e30 chassis and can't figure out how to mount and plumb a 2-wire on/off valve then there is something wrong.Comment

it was done for me by someone who i cant get a hold of... thats why i was looking on the forums. but i got it today and i know one side goes to the tb but the other port goes where?Comment

If you are N/A it goes to the throttle body because there is vacuum in your intake. Since you are boosted you would need to run the charcoal cannister line to the intake before your turbo (only spot where you have vacuum). Most people don't like running fuel vapours through their turbo, hence why nobody runs the charcoal cannister with a turbo, and instead they just vent the line to the atmosphere.Comment

6 in that picture. Alternatively you can throw the whole valve and charcoal cannister in the garbage, and just vent the line that comes from the gas tank. You will also need to plug the hole on the bottom of the throttle body where the line usually goes to or you will have an epic boost leakComment
