    e39 zf trans.

    This is probably a stupid question but is the e39 528i zf the same as the e36 328i zf? I found a pretty good deal on a 100k 2000 528i trans. and just want to make sure it bolts up the same at the e36 unit. Thanks.

    e39, e36, e46 all use the same zf sg320 5 speed unit.

    newest would be from a e46 330i 2003-4
    OBD1 M54/M52TU swap as a M50b25

    Z4 non powered steering rack fits e30



    Euro e46 2005/6 320d 6mt gearbox into E30 with M20 hardy and beck 1985 327s engine

        Are they all the same ratios? I'd love an OD 5th gear.

          If you look up the bmw oem specifications you will be able to see the individual gear ratios of the zf sg320 gearbox.
