New to the bmw world... 1987 E30 325e M20 to M50 non vanos

Hey everyone, I'm new to the E30 world.

I'll just tell you a little story about my self. I've been auto technician for 6 years now, I've been an Vw specialist for 5 years, know them inside out. Thank god I found a new passion- bmw. I love my euro cars and love working on them.

    I have an 87 325e m20 and I just bought a 92 E34 525i M50 non vanos. Both motors run amazing btw.

Just want to know what would be my pros and cons of doing this swap, what parts list would I need? Is it worth it? Is it better to do the 885 head on the E Block? Etc etc best way to spend my money.

Thank you for helping out, I need some sort of direction- anything helps.

Goals: to make a road course/drift car
    350 to 450 whp
    Want to boost

    Some pics of the E30

Well this is irrelevant to your questions but... Sweet rims! I want some like that for my car. Also im a newb but from what ive read if u swap the m50 from the 525 its probly one of the less expensive swaps. Read the stickys and the wiki. They will probly answer most of your questions. Im workin on an s52 swap for myself and they have been very helpful. Im sure some more knowledgeable people will give you some guidance thats just my 2 cents. Good luck

          I paid $300 for M50NV/G250/harness and driveshaft.

Most will say the M50NV isn't a real worthwhile swap especially if you already have a good running M20. I don't know much about the 327i swap but if you're engine already runs great, to me this would be the way to go.
