I picked up a 90m3 to swap in lieu of fixing the 89is.   (yes, i did get hammered from insurance after the deer incident.)  
I have heard rumor that the s14 tach gets a different type of signal from the dme and that swapping the coding plug is not a viable solution.
Anyone have experience with this?
