I was told that (328ijunkie) Dave at Markert Motorworks makes these connectors. I have emailed him over the last couple of weeks. He has acknowledged receiving my PMs and emails, but has not responded regarding the connector. Is there anyone else that makes these PnP connectors? Thank you!

yep. the only wild card is the oil temp gauge. I can add a wire for that of course, but I don't know how long the sensor wire needs to be or what kind of connector in it. I'm guessing it's likely a standard 2-pin AMP connector?Comment

well, assuming you're going to swap that sensor over to your new motor - go take a pic of it. I can estimate the length of wire needed from it's position in the engine bay, on think on S50s it goes on the oil filter housing, which is about 4 feet of wire.Comment

I don't have a motor in the chassis... So that might be difficult. lol. Can I just buy a new oem sensor for an e30 m3 and have it wired in?Comment
-
yeah of course, it's commonly done.
I can estimate wire length without the motor in your car, I just need to know what kind of connector it requires. I can pre-wire it all so you just plug it in.Comment

looking to source one now, but having some difficulty. are you POSITIVE it is a oil temperature sensor? My catalog is only showing oil pressure. Let me know. thanks.Comment

edit: actually no, I was right - it's a temp sensor
the pressure sensor is just the switch for the dummy light.
looks like a 3 pin standard AMP connector. I've got tons of those. :)Last edited by nando; 03-13-2014, 11:11 AM.Comment
