Thanks bud. I have a sensor simulator made by Launch to try out. I want to see if that will work. I also have a new crank sensor to try. I am thinking I have a wire grounded that is not supposed to be coming from the DME. We will see what I come up with tonight.

ok , got it running. i found a short between pin 66 and 56. In the add on obd2 x20 harness, there was 2 little green wires. when i connected the 2, pin 66 is a black/violet was accidentally connected to the little green wire from what i though was pin 7. turns out i connected it to pin 13 througha splice that i didnt knw about. so all i did was cut the wire going to pin 66 and all is good...

now on to the rest of the assembly.

Thanks for the help for those that tried and gave a hand. to those that laughed and thought i totally fucked everything up, i didnt fuck up that bad. easy mistake

Ok so I was the one who told you messed up the wiring so it turned out to be the truth

Ignore me? And I told him what the problem is and all you said is 'good luck'. Ignore you and listen to me.

Ignore you, because you cant say anything in a decent way. Every time you post something, you prove that its true.

Im glad you got it handled meanEG. I was going to say check your main circuits for start logic. I was going to tell you to check the Crank sensor all the way to the C101, then make sure you have power on all of the relays, ground on all the relays, and that your ECU was getting power. Awesome! I had a problem with powering my relays because I was too dumb to see that my power block was separated into two terminals, and not all getting power.

Yea. I would have never checked the wiring unless you said that. Man this community would be nothing without your insight. I guess all those wiring checks I did in the first post, I just made up. You lack people skills. If I were lacking people skills I may call you a douchebag or an asshole. Thankfully I am not.

Some people always have to be right, regardless of the outcome.

Actually I reread your post and it made no logical sense. And I definetly didn't lose control of it. You are just probably insecure in your own abilities.

                  DesertBMW: you are a douchebag.

Apparently I too lack people skills :p

OP: I'm glad you sorted it out. I rebuilt the wiring harness on my vw bus a couple years ago. Every wire in the oe harness is white. Every single one. I feel your pain. The joy of getting it to fire up and run was indescribable.
