You can buy a whole car for $500. I bought a 92 525i. Yanked all my needed components. Sold the wheels, a few other parts and took to scrap yard.. I made enough money to pay for part of the rebuild

I think I may just do that, have the swap pay for itself just through parting the car :pimp: (or at least a good part of it)
