    Aloha,

    running into some little things with the S50 swap: (1987 325e chassis 1995 S50B30US with TRM chip that deletes VSS)

    Windows are not working. HVAC works. Everything points towards the green/black wire to the starter, but I have tried it on both posts (early model starter) and it makes no difference. Anyone have any suggestions?

    Randomly dying: It will die when I push the clutch and brake in at the same time (IE rolling up to a stop sign ) . I assume it's a vacuum leak at the brake booster as I didn't replace that grommet, will be replacing it tomorrow and would love to see if anyone has any comments.

    Hard start when hot: When the car is hot (above 1/2 on the gauge), it does not want to start. The starter cranks extremely slow or not at all. Sometimes I can get it to start by just bumping the key back and forth real fast. It starts every time when cold.

    Sounds like you got a busted starter solenoid. I would change the valve coming from the hose off the brake booster to solve your stalling out issue. As far as that hard starting issue goes, perhaps a bad 12v connection at battery, battery tray, or alternator. GL!
