As I live in france I have some pros/cons in comparison with USA

-I was looking for a m52 crank and rods for my m50tu and make some around 11,25CR,lightweight aux pulleys and already installed m20 shaved flywheel,W.A.R. chip,s50US cams and 3" single exhaust.

How do you feel about the idea? I was considering other 2 ways:

-Swapping an euro s50(286hp out of the box) +remap could be 300hp easily

Cons:only the engine + tranny + wiring could be around 3500$ easily and swapping it isn't as easy as my actual swap is.
Among these, legal stuff gets involved in here as there is no e30 with larger displacement than 2,5L so it would be a complete headache to make it legal for street use.

-m54b30 rotating assembly direct to my m50 block:
    I
've seen this stroker already over the forum but I don't feel like doing this before the m52 stroker,as the pieces are harder to find and I don't think the engine would feel as revvy as it would with the m52 way even with some more power.

So,about the initial stroker idea, I was thinking about the CR, in the US normal gas is about 89 or 91 RON, however, here in france the most common gas is 95RON and 98 is easily bought in some stations,so in order to use at least 95RON,how do you feel if I increase the CR near to 12 or 12,5:1? maybe it's too much?

Any input and opinions are always well received

Thanks in advance and sorry for my poor english :???:
    Couple of things:
Most s50b30 do not have their power anywhere close to factory spec. This is a high RPM, high strung, high tension engine, now +/-20 years old with anywhere between 150'000-300'000km on them. Most are in need of 100% overhaul and engine parts for these are EXPENSIVE. s50b32 are affected even more because of the longer stroke.

m54b30 crankshaft will not limit r3vibility of your engine. You will need headwork and even more aggressive camshafts to maintain breathing at high RPM. Then there is oil pump sprocket bolt issue, but it will not be as severe if you use cast iron m50 block.

Static CR doesn't tell you the whole story regarding petrol octane and detonation. Take into account your camshafts duration and cranking pressure - calculated dynamic CR will give you more info.

I run 11.5 on 93 octane on the street in a Cadillac Northstar... as BMW's have better chambers, 11.2 on 91 should be ok.

So I might get some more compression for 95 octane :D

I've tried to be as clear as possible
