I'm no expert on this, but mine works fine so far with no CEL's. I did actively erase the SAP section of the code, the EWS driveaway protection and the rear O2 sensors. I wrote a thread on how to reflash, but you'll need an OBDII E36 to plug your ECU into to reflash and a cable or two, or make your own bench rig. I'll tell you what, If you aren't in a huge hurry, (the next month or so) I'll rebuild a bench rig and reflash your ECU for you for cheap. I need to get into that again anyway. If you need it done quicker than that, be sure to shop around. PM me and I'll send you to the right people.

As for some other things. The link that "isnt working" due to a copying error, is in one thread that dirtbag30 sent you, as the first links in the first post. Just google "e30dohc wiki" and you'll find it.

If you go with the ZF Trans, you don't have to modify the shifter support arm and rotate it 10 degrees. If you stick with the 260 trans, you can I believe use the E30 Driveshaft, and you can definitely use your rear diff if its a lsd and you like it. But you need to modify the shift linkage and twist it 10 degrees. You can use the standard E30 manual trans brace with the ZF, no modification needed.

I attached a .pdf version of my excel spreadsheet so far. This definitely doesn't include all of the little things I bought like wiring shrink wrap, connectors, etc, but its a good start. Some is not necessary for the swap, like my suspension setup. I hope this helps.

I feel like some of this wasn't clear. I'm sorry if its not, I'm pretty tired.
I'm understanding bits and pieces of this, everyone is providing me with loads of info! sticking with the zf because the s52 is coming with it. im pretty much looking for a "plug and play" route.
Your list is great btw! just got ground controls the other week so im good for suspension so far. i'll be in touch for more info on the ecu stuff!
