Swapping in a new starter into my 91 318is with a m50tu in it. Starter in the car is not threaded. Have the intake manifold and pretty good access to the starter. What can i use to hold the torx bolts while i get the nut off. Theres very little room between the tranny and frame for anything. What have you guys used? Thanks in advance!!

Drop the rear trans mount use a long extension and a ratchet. Should be able to get at the torx from the back. A wrench will lock in place on the front. -

weld a wrench to a socket in some sort of way that it can clear the firewall. Get creative if you don't want to get dirty.Comment
