S52 coils with S50 valve cover/harness?

I'm using the s52 valve cover, and the s50 colis don't quite line up to bolt down. What are you guys running, s52 or s50 valve cover? I would like to keep s52 v. cover because it has a better gasket IMO. Also , what mod. is needed to run the s50 wiring harness on s52 v. cover? Any pic. out there for a referance?

Notch/cut out the 'raised lips' in the valve cover to run the wires. You'll also have to make corresponding cutouts on the top of the OBDII engine cover.

Sorry I'm not the best at describing, but if you run the wiring and coils, you'll see what i mean. Someone else might chime in with better detail.

EDIT: wait, what do you mean the coils don't line up? That' doesn't make any sense. I'm running the S52 coils that came with my motor, but I thought they were the same. Hopefully somebody will add something.

so I can run the s52 coils with the s50/obdI wiring? When i said they don't line up, i'm refering the the holes on the coils to the two bolt holes that bolt it down.

i see watch you are saying about notching the v.cover for the wires

correct. the s50 / s52 coils have a different design. im using the s52 coils and s52 valve cover (notched as earlier described) with the obd1 electronics. obd1 coil plug fits the s52 coils without any problems.
