A little help please (DSSR fitment)

I bet the ''Product Reviews'' is not the most visited section.

Cant tell what what your asking exactly. Stock m20 linkage works on a 260 getrag/24v motor. But it needs to be bent a little bit or twisted.

what car do you have, trans, motor etc, post some more info

    Please leave feedback below, thanks

I'll have to check what transmission I have. I bought the car 5 1/2 years ago and the guy told me it was a G260 but I'm not sure anymore.

I know the linkage length is like the M20 but twisted 10 degrees but the linkage in my car is longer by about 3/4'' or 1''.

I'll have to investigate deeper to see what's the problem.

have the linkage shortened or install the shift lever backwards.

on both the aluminum and sheet metal carriers the shift linkage is there.
the ball that is on the shifter is the fulcrum or pivot point. the carriers only hold the shifter in place. the linkage is what connects the shifter to the transmission and makes the gear change.

I need to check what transmission I have. Maybe tomorrow evening.

If I really have a G260 something's weird. The standard shift rod was longer but I forgot to take a pic.

The only thing I didn't check was the orientation of the shifter itself.

Please take a picture of your transmission and selector rod/shift carrier so we can help you.

Sorta sounds like your have a G240.

Thats what im thinking, but that linkage is longer, and he said its to short. If it works with m20 linkage, the dssr will work

the selector rod. you can have it shortened, or install the shifter backwards. usually they have a kink in the rod. that's what I did with mine, it fits perfectly centered.

                          I'm reading a lot and I'm also thinking I have a G240.

My rod is welded in the middle like this one. Probalby because it was too long (coming from a M42/G240).

I'll have to cut my DSSR and extend it a bit.

                            I have a G260 number 260.0.1346.91.

Here's a pictures of the rods.

The DSSR doesn't fix unless my shifter is pointing at the backglass...

Looks like they fucked up. It happens sometimes, but they'll make it right. I think the rod is supposed to be 188mm, iirc.
