I will end up doing that eventually more than likely, but i was hoping for a good reputable shop that has fabricated a full 24v swap exhaust before as oppose to some local shop who may cut corners or a corporate shop that'll charge me up the ass....

And I'm not sure, i may end up going with the dual 2.25 just for noise sake, and throwing in a Borla resonator before my stromung. I really like the stromung on my M20, it sounded mean but still subtle and quiet enough to be drivable. It had a growl that i liked. My friends 99 M3 has the UUC system U and it does drone like a mother sometimes.

If that's the case buy an aftermarket exhaust and have it modified. It will probably be cheaper than having a 2 pipe exhaust made. You can try turner if you want, it's probably the closest BMW specialist shop to you.

Turner was on my list of shops if i can find anything in my area. Do you think i can get an e36 center section and have it modified to fit the e30 chassis? shouldn't be too hard to custom fit with relocation of brackets etc right? I saw that Active Autoworks center section on the turner site and really like it.

          The AA track pipe?

Don't. Flows poorly below 4krpm and is loud as hell.

Back to back dyno of e36 obd2 cats vs track pipe show a delta of only 5hp or so with huge losses below 4k. Otherwise same mods. Search on bimmerforums, plenty of proof.

The issue with the track pipe is the flow exiting the resonator coupled with the merge into the resonator. Their 3" race exhaust flows really well (I have that one) but the track pipe is not a good idea.

There are guys making 240-250whp on S52s with stock obd2 midsection, good headers, and all bolt ons with schrick cams-- point is that is not as big a restriction as imagined. Find one of those and hack it to fit the e30. Saves money and passes emissions, what's not to like?

Good call. I was just hoping for something more durable than stock mid pipes, hence the want for stainless and TIG welds etc... But good call, i bet i can find a stainless cat and resonator and buy stock or a little larger tubing for it and have it all TIGed together for a decent amount.

If you're doing a dual exhaust, why not just get e36 obd2 midpipe and have a shop modify it to fit an e30? Much more durable than nearly all aftermarket stuff. Pair it with your choice of muffler and you're good to go. Pretty cheap also.

Just one way to do it that is more street car oriented, if that is of interest.

Just to update people, I ended up going with full Euro supersprint set up. Its not on the car yet, but it should work just fine when cams and such come along. Thanks for the help of anyone who contributed.
