    mpg tach gauge help

I have 1984 325e that I swapped an m50nv into. My wiring adapter was pre made by catuned. I attached the extra wire on the adapter in the glove box to make my tachometer work but my mpg needle doesn't move. Is there another wire I have to connect somewhere?

Yes, in the same plug in the glove box where you connected the black wire to the E36 tach signal wire, there is a yellow/white wire that needs to be connected to the correct E36 wire (it was Pin 24 on my S50). Keep in mind that the econometer will be wrong.
