    ix booster won't fit

So I tried to bolt the ix booster into my e30 m3 and it simply won't fit because the bolt holes do not line up - the bolt to bolt distance is different. There's some talk about this issue in this thread:

But, no one states what the solution is. Someone commented that there might be coupler between the booster and the firewall. Can anyone confirm this? Realoem doesn't show it. And, I don't recall seeing this when I pulled the booster from the ix. I recall removing the nuts from underneath the steering column which would mean that the bolts go through the firewall. This won't work for my conversion car unless I start drilling holes. Help!?

There is a coupler... looks like this:

But the ix coupler ends up making the MC bolts turned at a 45 degree angle.
I don't know if the one from the 535i would correct that but they don't list a price.

You're going to have to buy an M5 or 740i Brake MC if you use the ix coupler.
(because of the 45 deg twist)

Someone should start making a custom coupler for this conversion.
If somebody had a kit for doing this conversion, I bet they would make money. Okay, maybe I'll do it.

Thanks for finding the picture for me. Now I do sorta recall seeing this. I wonder why bmw doen't show it on the ix figure... I already got the m5 mc, so I'm ok from this standpoint. Now, a coupler that allowed me to keep the e30 m3 mc would cool... The m5 mc was too dang expensive.

I guess I'll need to head back out to the junk yard to get that coupler.

Mine would have came with it too if I was smart enough to have figured this out while I was in the junk yard wrenching in the ix.

Could someone measure the length of the ix coupler - mounting surface to mounting surface?? The junk yard I went to got rid of their 325ix. I found a coupler/adapter from a 5-series and it fits, but it's too long and the rod won't reach the pedal assembly. If someone can tell me the length of the ix adapter, I could cut and reweld the 5-series coupler. Help!?

The other issue is that realoem doesn't list a part number for this adapter on the ix. Maybe bmw sells it with the booster? I'm open to ideas here. I've got the booster, but no way to mount it to the car.
