SO I got the car to turn over finally. Power problems and all.
It is surging and I am about to try burning up the starter to hopefully engage the EWS bypass to make the little chicken think it's supposed to let the engine run.
I NEED A DME!

Got a DME coming to borrow, here tomorrow with a stock 325 chip should let it run.

Who knows maybe my caps need to be grounded more.

I will have burnout vids of the new car laying down soon hopefully!

I am running out of time!
The crap is hitting the fan and it doesn't smell good.

I can't get the engine with the transmission into the car!!!
The engine mounts up too close to the firewall.
I do have only 1 E36 engine mount for the driver side.. and using the M20 pass side mount. (Metal piece, not rubber mounts.)

89 325i
95 M50 engine
E30 Getrag Transmission
E36 M3 flywheel/clutch
Auto harness (help with extra crap?)

Like I said, I have to have this thing done tomorrow...
I thought I had everything under control, apparently it is not as straight forward as it seems!

I would say the engine mount arms are probably the culprit. Is it possible to have the E36 arm on the wrong side? Also, why are you using an M20 arm, and not both E36 arms?

yea, you need e36 m50 arms, and a pair of the known working motor mounts, i dont understand what your trying to do. seems like your totally ass backwards and need your car ASAP.

what are you doing as far as driveshaft and diff?
DME?
do you have the new modified booster?
how about cooling fan?
what starter are you using?

seems like you just bought an engine and trans and expect to drop it in your car in an afternoon. not gonna happen buddy. this swap takes a lot of planning and doing things in order. i think you need to re evaluate your swap situation.

I am using the stock 325i DS and diff
413 DME from an auto but I know how to bypass EWS.
I have an IX booster - M5 MC
I'm going to be using the stock M20 cooling fan with a lower temp switch
Using the M50 starter with E36 fly
I have the E28 mounts, so I guess I need the alum E36 pass mount brace
It doesn't even matter. My life is over, thanks for trying guys.

This whole thing started because I wrecked this kid's car.

So somehow I got a 89 E30 in good cond well everything except the engine.
That's where the M50 swap came in. I researched, it sounded not too bad.
I've done a couple E36 swaps and this is not too much different except for NONE of the parts just fitting.
I should have bought a ZF.
I should have bought all the parts for it months ago.
I should have robbed a bank.

I've been trying to get it done... ordering parts from all over and still dont have the MC.
His parents are in town tomorrow at 10 AM to drive back to Chi town.
They know nothing of the wreck or this car not being done.
To them we traded cars.
