Cheapest way to 300 hp M50

    Hey there,

My name is Sergio Puch, from Lima-Peru.

It's my first post, and my first conversion (swap) from Mb20B23 to M50b25.

I'll be picking up my engine tomorrow for the swap, actually someone is doing it for me. I just wonder this, what would be the cheapest and safest route to go 300 hp (aprox)?

    Turbo?
    Turbocharged?
    Stroked?

I've also read about replacing the internals with M52's. I'm new to M50 engines, help needed.

    Thanks in advance!

Nitrous, big bottles. Two of them!

That's probably gonna be difficult without forced induction or those bottles of nitrous. Stock M3 E36s began at 286 BHP with individual throttles, bigger cams, boring / stroking, headwork etc. already.

boost, or a different motor altogether. M52 displacement is too low and it can't rev high enough to make up the difference.

            Supercharger. Bolt on reliability.
