    False RPM reading S50 swap

Need an advice on where to start looking to fix false rpm reading. Per my tach my redline is somewhere around 6200 rpm, which should be around 7200-7400 area. I have SSSquid chip installed.

Make sure you have the 325i coding plug in your cluster. Part number should end in 468.

Low redline can be a VSS signal issue.

Is the cluster came from a 318, it would have the 7000rpm tach, but read wrong. It was my problem when I did my swap.

And 6200 is usually where it cuts out for no VSS.

Make sure the DME is getting the VSS (vehicle speed signal). Should just be a wire you connect to the c101.
