Hey guys,
So I am bashing my head on this issue I am trying to solve....
So some background...
87 325iS Automatic, getting an S52/Getrag 260 swap.
The M20 single mass flywheel has been shaved on the backside and clears the oil pan. I have a Brand new M20 late model starter, M20 LTW flywheel, M20 flywheel bolts with spacer, Spec 2 clutch, M20 pilot bearing, M20 throwout bearing.
When I turn the motor over by hand, the motor cranks freely and doesnt interfere with anything (starter isnt interfering with flywheel). When I went for a first start, it sounded as if something was binding up/interfering as there was no attempt to crank the motor....
What are your guys' thoughts? I haven't installed the clutch slave cylinder or have bled the system yet, but from my understanding, you didnt have to since the car is theoretically in neutral? Or am i just being stupid and should I install the clutch slave cylinder/bleed the system and give it another go?
Please help guys :( I need this car going by Saturday to get exhaust work done!)
