          It would rotate and flip over though. Didn't see the loop/hook towards the front and the one back near the tranny?

              Your fault for improperly securing the motor to the hoist. Imagine if you were under it when it fell.

                I would scrap it. Too many tolerances in the engine that could potentially be damaged to warant wasting your time with.

                M50s are so easy to come by I would just let this one go and get another.

                  Yea..dude...basica physics.

                  The engine is entirely unstable when supported by the mounts.

                  I would be nervous lifintg my engine more than 5-6 inches secured that way!

                    The motor is fine except for a cracked valve cover. The valve train is completely fine, no cracks in the head or anything. I will be tearing the motor down to replace all the gaskets and to do a more thorough check.
