    Weird coilpack issue

I have been getting a misfire and when I scanned I got the following codes:

Address 12 (Engine): 3 Faults Found:
    P0302 - Cylinder 2: Misfire Detected
    P0170 - Fuel Trim; Bank 1: Malfunction
    P1188 - Manufacturer specific code

I swapped the coil from cyl2 to cyl 4 and the misfire followed the coil.

Yesterday the car misfired 4 times. After each misfire I turned the car off, waited 30 seconds, restarted the car and it drove fine until the next misfire.

When I tested the coil it comes back at 0.5ohms which falls within spec, I tested the other 5 coils and they all test within spec.

So if the primary coil tests OK, but the misfire follows the coilpack I have to assume the coilpack is bad right?

I have to wait to get OEM BMW coilpack boots in.

Local parts shop has compatible NGK coilpack boots available tomorrow.

Anyone have any opinions on the NGK product?

Ngk seems pretty good, I've never heard of any problems with their stuff. Good luck!
