I am in the middle doing a s52 swap from a 97 M3 the motor cranks but won't start. I have a Dinan ECU and would like to use it without the original key and immobilizer. Is there any way this can be done??

You can use the ecu but it needs to be flashed to properly run in an e30.

You must Cut the EWS (BMW immo) from ECU. Or use complete system from e36 (ECU + EWS) Or megasquirt :) Only megasquirt can steering the vanos system, our SA ECUMaster EMU at this day don't do that (but is better then MS x5 times).World quality custom part's for your race/drift/drag BMW, in low cost money.
