How can I tell if I have the correct 325e shaft?

Is there a way to identify the proper shaft? realoem show the same length.
Also do I use the CSB for that car or a 325i CSB

Use the Csb for car. Early cars use early style csb. The cut off was sometime in 88. Then you have to determine the flange size.
