M50 purge valve on m52 obd2 harness?

I am doing an m52 obd2 swap. I want to retain purge valve function but i am using an m50 intake and dont want to use the funky obd2 purge valve.

the e30 and m50 purge valves look the same as each other and they have the same electrical connector as the m52 purge valve. can i just use the e30 or m50 valve with the m52 obd2 harness?

purge valve. on the e30 it runs inline between the charcoal canister and the throttle body. it allows for slightly better gas mileage by routing gas vapor from the tank back into the intake and you don't get gas smells from around the car all the time.

I'd give it a shot. Pretty obvious if it doesn't work, either from a CEL or you'll notice pressure in the tank when you open the gas cap
