    Condor swap mounts

Any tips on getting the mounts flush?

I have a prob a 1mm gap on the passenger side (rhd) from the mount to the subframe. This is the inner part of the mount the outer is flush with the frame.

These are the newer design with the slanted tops and the locating pin.

Any help would be much appreciated

hopefully there are no issues with these as I have the swap mounts, trans mounts, and transmission brace from them waiting to go in...

Are these mounts able to deform such that they will end up flush? Are they too hard/solid? The old style didn't have a slant so I'm wondering what people did with those?

I put a set in my racecar. Doesnt sit flush on drivers side. Some guy from condor said he was looking into it. I am gonna message him back and see what he says. If that damn mount rotates in the middle of a race im in trouble.

Yeah it is pretty disappointing. I couldn't get it sit proper...

I just sent them an email too. Hopefully they can resolve this so I can finish this swap

              I got this response:
              From our FAQ:
              A. The angle goes on top and faces outwards. The easiest thing to do is to set the motor on the mounts and tighten the bottoms first. Don't do one all the way. Do each side bit by bit. As you tighten the bottoms, alternate between the left and right sides. The engine will center itself. Make sure the trans mounts are loose. Tighten the tops last.

I have already tried that and with no luck, it seems the engine pushes towards one side making it impossible to get it seated right? Or bad angles or something... I'll try again though (10th time lucky?)

Its a shame aye, hopefully yours doesn't rotate if you running it.
Mine is just sitting here atm... if they wont help out I guess I have to buy another set of mounts from somewhere else.

could this have something to do with the car being RHD?

Did you install these with the bottom bolt going into the slotted hole or the circle hole?

I installed them like e28 mounts with the bolt in the slotted hole and my drivers side isn't sitting flush. It is even possible to remove these with the motor all buttoned up? damn.

Yeah, your driver (my pass side) wont be sitting flush. I think the angle is off or something. Condor didnt give me any other help except for the you prob installing it wrong. I removed them and bought some akg ones. They fit perfect first try...

So you tried having the angle in both directions, and it didnt sit flush either way? I'm pretty tired of wrenching and just want to drive the car now. I'm really not excited about redoing the mounts.
