    OBD2 S52 - Will I be using this?

Getting my harness info together for my S52 OBD2 swap and was wondering if I will still be needing/using this T shaped coolant pipe, or is there a cleaner way to run?

That goes to your expansion tank. It works without getting in the way of anything.

The one you'll want to close shut is the narrower line above it that juts out. It originally circulated coolant through the throttle body...

Do they make rubber caps or anything you could use to block off the small pipe that would have gone to the throttle body? Since this is already posted I might as well ask since I have been debating that one.

I used a rubber hose and cap to close off the TB line on my s52, not the cleanest- but with all that CCV BS that is under the intake- it hides it pretty well.

Is the line closed shut because there is no coolant port on the m50 TB? Or is there another reason for omitting it? I will be using an m50 manifold with an m50 TB. Thanks-

I think its just more of something you don't need. For example, I live in florida and have ZERO need to keep my TB from sticking closed in the cold and I wanted a port to install a temp sender, so I am deleting mine.

What haaken said. It doesn't get cold enough here to have to circulate coolant through the TB.

I snipped the ends of the small pipe on mine and had them welded shut. The car doesn't see snow here in Cleveland but I've had no issues that I've noted while driving during colder days.

I cut the TB heater pipe off, squeezed it flat, and welded it. Then I used the port in the head for a rethreaded E30 cluster coolant temp sender.
