    E30 M50b25TU Swap Headers?

    Hey Guys,

So i've heard the stock headers from the m50b25tu won't fit in the e30 properly, so i was wondering what people are running or have done to make different things fit. Photos would also be appreciated.

    Cheers Guys

Ebay M50 headers sorta fit, but will need to be cut and formed to clear the CABs and motor mount arms. I went through this, sadly, and it was a major hassle, which never really worked properly, for me. Other guys in here have got it to work, but regardless it'll take some modification (they're made for the E36 chassis, after all).

The stock manifolds can fit, with some massaging (i chopped and re-welded the flange), but you'll still need some additional work to mate it to whatever you've got downstream.

I also believe there are some companies that make dedicated E30 24V swap headers, if price isn't really as much of a concern!

I just fitted the speed daddy eBay headers on my swap. I have a spare engine that I used to test fit them. I had to elongate the holes in a couple spots to get them to fit nicely. The o2 sensor placement is meh, I will probably have the exhaust shop add one further downstream that's more easily accessible. I removed the head shield and rivets on my engine arm and ground it down a little. I also have treehouse CABs so clearance in that area wasn't a concern. The best way I found to get them to fit was to remove all of the studs and install them after getting the headers into place. With the studs in there isn't enough wiggle room to make it happen.

However, all of this is on a US market LHD car so I have no idea on fitment for a RHD car in Australia.
