I'm planning on replacing my broken m52 engine in my swap, and want to address an issue when I do it.
The swap is a m52b28 in an 1987 325e. I used the transmission from the e30 on the m52 and it all worked out fine for the most part.
What TOB should I be using?
I used a clutch kit for a 325i e30 when the transmission was installed before and used the TOB from the kit. Do I need to have a longer TOB since the transmission originally had a dual mass flywheel that I swapped out with a single mass?
I ask because could hear a bearing noise (mostly like a rough turning bearing, sometimes a slight rattle), when the clutch was not depressed. It would go away if I depressed the clutch. Is this a TOB length fitment issue or something else?
