    Transmission and diff choice

I've been online reading so much I think I've gone crosseyed..
I plan to do a swap and build with my E30. HOPEFULLY an S50 or S52, and I am trying to decide what manual trans and LSD to match up to it. Where I live is no highway driving, tight curvy roads everywhere, so for funs sake lets say similar to track driving.
Lets get some suggestions from experience in here, make me decision easier

    Thanks Gents

6 speed out of an E46.
    Everything else only has 5!
Then you can run a 3.73 or even higher.

Honestly, it's not a huge deal- all the 1:1 5 speeds are about the same (the early ones can have detent bushing problems, so later is better)
and diff choice matters more. But an S54 has plenty o' torques, so overgearing it isn't tragic.

likes an m54b30 and 2.93 for long straight roads...
now, sometimes I just mess with people. It's more entertaining that way. george graves

A ZF310/ZF320 and a 3.73 or a g260 with a 4.10 would by my choice. I'm not sure how easy it is to get parts in Bermuda, but those are probably the easiest setups to put together. I ran a zf320 with 3.73's briefly, but switched to a 3.15 rear gear since I do drive on the highway.

i have a g6s-37dz from a diesel e46. Cost me $90. gearing in first and second is a bit high, but from 3rd onwards its pretty much the same as the petrol version.

Paired with a 2.93 LSD makes the turbo build just about perfect, and give me a nice cruise RPM around 2200 @ 110km/h
