I doubt it. The only way I could see this working is if you were to tune the ecu, and since you are obd1 that means with a chip, so not likely in this car. -
even using the narrowband output from the AEM? I think it outputs the same voltage as the stock O2 sensor

The whole point of the narrow band output is for this purpose, so it seems like it should work. I think most O2 sensors are 0-5v, so you should be good. Worst case is it just doesn't work.Comment

If you want to test the narrowband output,
just meter it. Below 14.7AFR, it should dive pretty quickly to 0v,
over 14.7, it should climb to 1v.

hmm, I didn't realize the AEM wideband had a narrowband output. I have one that I havn't gotten around to installing yet, but I don't remember seeing that on the wiring diagram.I guess you learn something new everyday.Comment

I ran my obd1 M52 with the narrow band output on my Innovate MTX-L through the signal wire on an old o2 sensor, left the stock sensor in so the heater circuit would work and not
throw a cel with the wideband. car ran fine but would start leaning out when running and the wideband was in heater. although there is no way to tell what the stock 413 afr scaling is for the 1v narrowband signal. car ran healthy afrs on a stock chip with 21.5 pound injectors and an m50 manifoldComment
