Hi Guys,
I just started rebuilding a M52B28 engine and preparing to swap these into my '89 320i Touring next summer.
My plan is to use as much of the stock drivetrain of my 320i Touring. Sorted out most but still needs some confirmation and advice from you guys.
I am planning to use the following setup:
- Getrag 240 gearbox (stock)
- M20 320i flywheel (stock -> machined and balanced while needed)
- 228mm clutch (stock)
- 323i throw out bearing (needed as I understand right)
- 320i Touring propshaft (stock)
Can you guys confirm this is doable or are there any using the same setup? Need the shift linkages need to be modified for example? And how is it related to the clearance with using my stock propshoft? I did read others do use often a 325i E36 propshaft.
Thanks in advance for your help.
