    Euro S50B32 Q's

Hey all, I've got a 325is, and I am looking into an Euro S50B32 swap. Can anyone direct me to a place where i can get some info on required parts other than the engine itself?
    What electronics do I need?
    Extra parts?
    Any help is appreciated!

Probably, but ive got my father backing me up on it. The story is basically that I told him I wanted to find a fresher m20 because mine is old, and then he wanted to look at all of the engine swap options, and is all for the s50.
Hes swapped more engines and built more cars than anyone Ive ever met, so it wont be completely uncharted territory.
But I do appreciate the warning. Ill inform the father.

maybe a built m50b32 (aka Us spec S50) would be a better choice, I know you would have alot easier time sourcing parts and if you build it right, you would be right at the same power level, minus the whole ITBS and euro factor.

Exactly, EWS-II is a complete pain to work with, unless you wanna really butcher everything and do a complete harness swap with coded keys.

If you want rare engines go S38B36/B38, or go the tried and true M50B32 method that everybody else does

ummm, no you won't, the M50(S50US) heads don't flow anywhere near the same as euro, but US S50 + eurosport twinscrew would be great option

Ahh, this is all very useful information. The only reason the euro s50 was chosen is becuase of the ITBs and power.
So are the m50b32 and the US s50 the same?
What method/engine is going to provide the most power output?
Thanks for all of the info guys.

The euro 3.2 is very similar to the s54. Dual vanos, solid lifters, 320+ hp stock. It would take a serious budget to get a US S50 to the same power levels while staying NA, and it would be close to a full-race motor.
I think the ideal setup would be a low-mileage, stock internals S52 with the Eurosport twinscrew kit and a 6-spd. Think e39 m5 power delivery in a package ~1000lbs lighter.

EWS-II is a doddle to fit. No need for a complete harness swap

it would take some serious rubber to get twinscrewed s52 power to the ground in an e30 but if you could youre looking at a 0-60 in the low 4s

As time went on, the factory developed the car each year, making it faster, more comfortable, and capable of handling at higher speeds.
You don’t want this. You want the trickiest, most dangerous, oldest model you can find. Only then can you prove to the world that you’re a man.

I Think that means easy. I discussed this swap with Ian a while back, and he mentioned it wasn't hard at all. Just a matter of logically fitting EWS.

Sorry, it's an English expression meaning something is very easy
