    Value of 240,000 mile m50??????

Well, there is a local guy who wrecked his e36 in the rear and is in the process of parting it out. He is also a vw guy and i was trying to work out a trade with these wheels i have. What does everyone think the value of a 240,000 mile m50 is? I would recieve the headers, wiring harness, etc. Not sure about the tranny. I wouldn't even consider it but since its a trade then i might. Do you think 200-300 range????

It isn't worth much of anything. Yes an M50 can last UP to 280 to 300K, but it will be down on compression, and will probably leak like a bastard. Sure you can do all the seals, but you're doing the seals on an engine with 240K. Find an engine with lower mileage if you want to do an M50 swap. Don't even think about doing a refresh. Even that is pretty expensive, and will outstrip the cost of a lower mileage M50.

          $150.00-$200.00

You could part out all the stuff to do a obd2-1 conversion
and make some coin off of that.

Yeah, its only worth it for the OBDI parts. I would never swap an engine with that many on the clock.
