Bad Day

This mourning I took the bmw out for a spin and on the way back to the shop I downshifted to 2nd, took off and boom!!!Metal and oil were everywhere. I pushed the car back to the shop and i can see through the block to the other side. At the #3 piston there is a hole the size of a softball on both sides. and the oil pan exploded and so did the driverside motor mount. So i guess im going to pull the motor out tonight and see if the head is alright. does anyone have a 3.2 or 3.0 bottom end sitting around for sale.

The rod broke and spun around tearing through both side of the block and the oil pan. It wasnt overreved

Hopefully the head is in good shape ... that's the expense in the s/m5x ... unless you had a s52 bottom end
