    Engine Mod Thread

OK, list what you have done to your engine as far a performance mods/machine work/whatever. I am just looking to see what everyone has done to their motors and your impressions of those mods. List anything from 3-angle valve jobs, ARP studs, Nitrous, to turbos or superchargers or different cams or cranks. List it all....
    Go ahead... list it.

I used to have a high performance Hanes sock for an oil filler cap, but it got sucked into the engine once while I was racing and has resulted in giving my cam more lift and duration due to shards of it wrapping around all of the lobes.

    Schrick < Hanes + Stock

My motors are physically stock for the most part. My M90B35 has a slightly milled head and a 3 angle valve job... The M90 already has awesome power and torque, and very nice throttle response due to the short stroke and big bore, so I really don't know if these changes enhanced anything but it needed a new head anyway.

Edit: I just realized this is in the 24v section, my beer vision failed me.

Holy Christmas Beej, you're FINALLY swapping in an engine! Sounds like it's pretty much got all the bolt ons!

With the custom pistons and top end work, it will screw!

Haha, yeah...finally is right. I've been collecting parts for this swap for 2 years now! I'm still deciding what I'm going to do for the tuning though. I'll probably have a custom chip cut.

Haha yeah I think I collected parts for at least a year before I really got down to business. :D

I have a Turner HFM, 24lb, Schrick for 506 DME chip if you want to fire it up without running ludicrously rich on the stock software... PM if you want it. Haha I am so shameless.

Never drove the engine stock, so I can't tell you how much of a difference the mods made lol

I only drove the original m3, before the swap, so i can't tell how much the extras helped w/ the motor in the e30, b/c the power difference is unreal. But, I got such deals on the all the parts that I couldn't stop myself from buying them...still need to dyno the car

Currently thinking about rebuilding an m42 that I have sitting in my garage.

I have virtually everything I need to rebuild one.

I may bore/stroke it a bit to get a bit mo powa!
