Does any one know what the best motor swap is for a 2002? I have acces to a 95 325i, complete car trans is auto thats the bad.Any one know if there is a thred that talks about these cars,and the swaps.

I read an article about the s50 2002 in roundel. They said they had to move the firewall back about 9 inches at some spots and had to get rid of the heater assembly because the motor ended up in that area. Its a SERIOUS project. Like stated above, go built m10 or s14. Maybe just turbo the m10.-Chris

m20 is by far your best bet. Fairly straightfoward swap, cheap motor, bulletproof if you dont ride the limiter. S14 if you have the budget. There are only one or two people that I know of that have done the m/s50 swap. Very involved from what I remember.
