1 those go on the starter. They only fit on the pole they belong on.
2 the black one looks like the big pole on the starter. i think the red one gets clipped.
3 Determine whick one is power and which is ground. One goes to ground and one goes to the power dist. block with all those other wires. You can see what colors the wires are under the sheilding. Brown is ground and gets attched to the stock e30 spot on the shock tower (if its like mine) and the red wires goes to the power thing

On second though, ditch all the e36 starter wires from the power block. Just run the e30 ones and save your self some trouble.

Search around, im sure all these have been answered.

Edit i mixed up the things. I used the wires with the m50 harness i had. I got rid of the e30 ones. Im sure someone said to ditch all those big sterter wires and just use the e30 one. Its not that big of a deal you just need a wire from the battery post thing to the starter.

O shit I so want to tell you were you are screwing up right now as you are doing the same thing I did wrong. Something is wrong with pic #3. Get that ECU wire ran and cut you E30 grommet and you can use it on that harness. Peel back the black insulation and you will see what is what. Only 1 wire in pic 3 is a ground, You will figure this out soon. And when it won't start and you are not getting power to your DME and DME relay, check where you DME wires are hooked up and if they have power. ;)

No, you do not cut the ECU plug off. There is a grommet that plugs the hole in the firewall that in order to harvest, you have to cut it off the old E30 harness.

Are you super cereal? It is not even tight, mine slipped right through. And yes I meant cut the GROMMET off not ANY of your wiring. I didn't cut a damn thing and just hooked up the two big hot red cables together. Don't froget to pick up some larger washers to mount your ECU in the stock location.
