m50 out of a 91 525ia ?

I gotta say m50s sure use more bolts and nuts just to get to the valve cover off. Why is there a plastic "cover' on the intake cam though ? Is it for safety so that someone doesn't stick a finger through the valve cover oil hole ? lol

No, it's to keep oil from sloshing up the breather and to keep most of the oil off the intake side valve seals.

Gotcha. Well, I got the cams and the manifold. Might come back and get the head if it's still there when I find the right torx socket.
