Ok, so I'm working on my harness connections right now, after getting the vacuum shit figured out last night. I've got most of it down, but I think I'm short a three pin connector. One of the connections on my harness that is three pin is male and the rest are female, yet all the three pin connections on the engine are male. The one for the Cam position sensor is male, but has an odd shape that fits none of the female connections on the harness. Is it possible that my cam position sensor has the wrong type of connector? It's kind of the odd man out here as it's the only sensor that didn't come from the same engine as the rest of the stuff, it came from a 95 S50US whereas the harness and the whole bottom end connections are from a late 93 M50TU. Any help would be appreciated.

Oh and if it turns out that the connector is the wrong type, I have spare female connectors that fit perfectly from my M20 harness that I can hook up to the cam pos sensor.1987 BMW 325is | Frankenmotor S50 | Supersprint Replica Headers | K&N Intake | Gutted Stock Midpipe | Zimmermann Rotors | Stainless Brake Lines | Porterfield Racing Pads

I'll try and remember to look tonight, I just went through my wire harness and cleaned / labeled everything. I remember the connector you're talking about, but I don't remember what it is. I'll look when I get home from work. If I forget, PM me to remind me.-Brandon

Meaning you could connect the cam sensor directly to the crank sensor.

Yeah, that's what I've been thinking too, since that sensor is the odd man out, but before I cut off the connector and rewire the sensor to fit my harness I want definite confirmation of this. Please somebody confirm!!!1987 BMW 325is | Frankenmotor S50 | Supersprint Replica Headers | K&N Intake | Gutted Stock Midpipe | Zimmermann Rotors | Stainless Brake Lines | Porterfield Racing Pads
