hey guys, here's the picture of the Oil Temp adapter VAC made me. it screws into the back of the Euro S52 Oil Filter Housing right below to the oil pressure switch. All the oil filter housings have this outlet, I think! joe

Cool, I have always wanted to use mine again. How much did that sensor and adapters run you?

VAC made this one first on off my design , I think it cost me mabe $39.Tony said the more they made the less they'll cost. They will now have it in there product line up. Whatever the price is it's clean, neat and gets the m3 gadge to work. I don't know why no one has not done this before, if you like it ,pass the it around the 24v group! thanks joe

That'll only fit motors with the euro oil filter housing though... I would just tap the side of the oil pan for the sensor. Or get one of those UUC dealies for the oil filter housing with holes and tap it for that sensor (rather than 1/8" NPT)

My s52 (euro) oil filter housing had this plug/plugged. If I remember the plug can be removed and driilled threw into the oil gallery to make it active. Tomorrow I will look at the m50 to see if I'm right. I'll post the answer after I get to the shop. thanks joe

                        E30 M3 oil temp sender

I think I found wiring in and around the M3 stuff, Simple, one wire off sender and at the gadge one is ground and power making up a total of (3) . I'm sure someone knows this stuff in there sleep! joe

                          Now for something completely different

Can I just order the bottom section (the oil temp gauge) and retrofit this to my 7k eta tach? Has anyone done this, or does everyone just get the ///M3 cluster swapped in whole?
