    heater core hose question

i dont see how its possible for me to hook up the heater hose to the upper heater core tube. The intake mani does not allow me to do this. I did get it on but it kinks the hose all the way shut.

I bent the top and bottom tube downwards so that they're roughly parallel to the ground. I used a piece of fuel hose over a fat philips screwdriver.

i too bent the heater tubing almost leveled or straight forward,i used the spark plug wrench in the tool kit and it fit over the tubes perfectly w/o damaging.
then,i used a unicoil heater hose bender,it would bend the rubber heater hose even pass 90 degress w/o kinking-got it at advance auto in the radiator hose repair section....

Bend the heater thingies. This is in the sticky at the top of the forum, probably on the first page.

I had lots of fun hooking these up. I used the m20 hoses cut and reduced down to the M50. I had to attack these from under the car.

It gets easier the 5th or 6th time you do it.

The right hoses to use are the OBDI spider hose and the e30 325i hose from the back of the head. No adapters or reducers needed.

agreed. and if your really experienced, then you will offset the pipes (one points right, one points left) so you can easily access the clamps from the top side. another bennifit is the hose wont bind as much.

                      cheers, jason
