    he probably put "Guaranteed to Pass" in his car. I never thought of that, but you can buy it at any parts store. mIght have to try it on my m3, not sure if i'll pass with my DTM airbox and a/n this year. Gotta do that this month...ha!

          You're ALL right. I put some Guaranteed to Pass in, and the tech put the collector hose on a jack stand about 4 inches away from the tailpipe. I tried to slip him a $20, but he wouldn't take it.

          They took my 'flunk' slip when I passed, so I don't know what numbers I had before this last test, or what they were when I passed, but the limits are:

          HC - .8
          CO - 15.0
          NOx - 2.0

          So, I guess I was under that...

            Was this just a idle test? I see your not in CA so not a dyno test correct?

              Yup. A dyno test. Only newer cars can get by with the idle test - or if you bring an ix to a test station without 2 sets of rollers.
