My E30 M50 Swap with pictures

So i been busy with college and i finally got the exhaust fabricated in my garage. Came out fairly well for never being on a lift thanks to my dad. I will hopefully be able to post some pics soon. After fixing a vacumm leak near the IAC, i actually got the motor running but i have an obvious idling problem.

The idle seems to hunt around then the idle will start racing high. Ran it for 30 seconds (felt like 10 mins!) but still has the same symptoms.

Now that im outta school i got time to look into the problem more...

Just ordered the 88+ coolant expansion tank and a new interior door handle housing(old one shattered)

Most of my stero system I interchange with my DD car

All Fiberglass/Stereo work was done with the HELP of my friends Fred Stewart and Matt Guter. This was our first attempt at using fiberglass and bodyfiller. The 2 speaker pods above (front doors) were made on our 2nd attempt. Our first attempt we learned the process, what was needed and what wasent. Learned alot though and have more creative ideas for the future :)

Why would you mount your crossover like? And why didn't you mold the poket with the speaker pod? It dose look like ass. Is your exaust kinked looks like it?

I agree i do need to mold the speaker pods into the door, but doing that requires a little more fiberglass expierence for it to come out the "right way". I was more concerned with getting the pods mounted and operating(Those details ill worry about when my car is running right). Im devoting my time now finishing up odd and end stuff under the hood.

But...The crossovers are see-through and look cool. Why wouldnt i mount them on the doors??

haha..no the exhaust is far from kinked(not a very good picture). That was the more difficult part of the exhaust to bend correctly (with no car lift). Actually the rest of the exhaust came out clean. ill have to take betters pictures of the exhaust system when i get it up in the air.

This exhaust is temp. Just need it for the next couple years. Once i start my turbo build the exhaust will need to be changed.

Hide your crossovers in the kick panel or under the door panel someplace Its tacky but other than that your on the right track. I have the same setup as you I will be boosting my n/v hopefully bye the end of this year.
