VAC motorsports parts, yay or nay?

i am thinking about picking up a stock reconditioned s50 head from VAC, as mine needs a valve job and my local machine shop wants $750, and VAC wants $899 for the head... also thinking about some high performance parts from VAC...

so are their parts known to be good quality and worth the money, or am i wasting my time? thanks for any info.

Of course! VAC is one of the best machine shops out there. They have a Serdi machine to cut the valve seats. I was going to go all out on an S50 build and I even bought a VAC Stg 1 head, but alas the project sputtered to a halt.

+1. I'm working at a shop that preps lots of cars in the area (Houston, Dallas, etc.) and they use VAC.

Tony is the shit! I've had nothing but good experiences with VAC. They did the "stage 1" upgrade on my S50 head and did a great job.

I have never done business with them, but based off the fact that they had the hottest girl at PRI in their booth, they get a thumbs up.

Nothing yet. It had a cam hit one side of it during shipping, so I'll need to get it inspected by a machine shop or something to make sure there's no damage.

VAC is definitely a good shop. Dont hesitate for one second on doing business with them.

Did they ever give you flow bench results before and after the porting? Any mention of gains (power or flow) with the stage 1 job?

Good place. They use all of the products they sell. The place that built my engine bought the CP pistons and Schrick cams through them.
