    Getrag Cross Member

M50 swap, the getrag sits funny, I know there was a template going around to make the right crossmember. Does anyone have it or have an alternate solution?

give him a break twig. Although its great to search its not like this topic has been beat to death like a lot of other topics. I assume you are talking about using the m20/getrag 260 with the m50. There was someone selling modded brackets not too long ago. But I would suggest to either go with the m42 or m50 tranny. The getrag 260 has to sit at and angle to fit the m50, which isn't really the best thing to do. Sure it works but cutting corners doesn't help you in the end. The tranny from a m42 can deff handle the power as they are rated at 240lbs of tq but if you are worried then you can just use the tranny from any x50/2.

There's no template. Just cut the cross member so that you take out/remove 10* from each side of the mount.

That doesnt make sense, do you have a picture of this? I was thinking of welding an extra arm onto it

Is there a differance in the early model e30s? because my cross member needs to be higher on the passenger side by abotu 3 inches.

The way it sits now, driverside liens up with bolt, passenger side hangs about 2.5-3 inches from chassis
